The Beginning
As a ten year old boy I was introduced to Speedway by my uncle. I will never forget the excitement I felt as we drove to the Murray Bridge Speedway and parked the car on the hill and watched the cars and the bikes race. As I walked in I could smell the racing fuel and hear the cars revving there engines. There was something about the buzz that was all around me that I couldn’t explain but I knew that I was hooked.

As soon as I was old enough I started going with a mate. Every opportunity we had we would go to Speedway and watch the cars race or go down to the pits and watch the teams. I knew, even back then that somehow, one day, I would get buy my own car.

In 2006 my dream of being involved with speedway finally became a reality. Neil Toye, with the help of Adelaide Express Transport purchased a V6 sprint car . Neils driving experience was invaluable as we were the new kids on the block. The first year was frantic and learning the dynamics of a race team seemed daunting but we achieved a lot more than we expected. We had some good finishes, some very late nights in the shed and met some big personalities along the way.

With the beginning of the 2008/2009 season approaching I decided to purchase the car outright and as I was the major sponsor for the previous two years this seemed like a very natural transition. Building a race team has been very exciting and armed with the knowledge that I have gained not only through the sponsorship with Neils car but also being involved as the mechanic, will hold me in good steed to make this a success.
